Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her works. She is a proponent of animal rights. Ali MacGraw is well-known for her roles in films like Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. The daughter of an artistic family living in New York she wished to work in the field of art. The first job she had was a photo assistant. She then moved on to acting and modeling. She won the Golden Globe Award in 1990 because she was a promising actress. MacGraw's film Love Story proved a major success and earned her international recognition as well as an Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. After only three movies MacGraw was named one of the most successful women in box office history. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were engraved in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Her other credits are The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and many more. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
