Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American singer, writer and actress who is well-known for her character Ginger Grant in the 1960s television show Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she started her career as an actress on stage in Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Then, she appeared on Broadway in a variety of shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner made it big in the National Theatre. She released her album It's Too Late for Tina that in the same year. Louise was first introduced to Hollywood as Griselda Walden, in God's Big Acre, a film from 1957 that was a dramatic. This film became an enormous success and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. During this time she joined the Actors Studio in New York and developed her association to Lee Strasberg as his student. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. She signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career effectively with a variety of roles between Broadway television and Hollywood portraying somber characters as contrasted to her perception of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary but she also was a successful television director with various series like Supernatural & The 100. Born on August 28, 1965, in Essex. At the age of three, her family relocated her to Toronto in Canada where she spent throughout her early years. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and has remained to Toronto since then.
