Cecily Legler Strong, an American stand-up comic and actor is known for her part as a cast member in 'Saturday Night Live.' When she took an improv course at age nine She began her career as an actor. The initial plan was to become an actress, but realized that she had talent for comedy. Therefore, her focus moved from acting towards comedy improvisation. She started her career by performing on cruise ships alongside fellow crew members from Second City Conservatory and iO Chicago. Strong appeared at top events such as Chicago Sketch Fest and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has also performed with Virgin Daiquiri, an all-female group - and New York Sketchfest. The show's biggest star was 2012 when she appeared on 'Saturday Night Live' in the 39th season as a star cast member anchoring The Weekend Update segment first with Seth Meyers and later with Colin Jost. Her most iconic moment on the series was her character in 'The Girl You Wish You Never started a conversation with at a Party'. That same year, she debuted in film in 'How To Sponsor A Uterus. The actress spoke out about how women are treated as just bikini models or girlfriends in Hollywood movies instead of strong female protagonists.
